I’m thrilled out of my mind by this.

The brilliant composer Jason Charney took one of my poems (“Near” from Areas of Fog) and turned it into a choir piece for soprano, alto, tenor and bass; and it was performed last night (a public sight-reading) by the Baltimore Choral Arts Society.

A choir of 100 or so people belting out words I wrote in a hole in Humboldt County, man oh man, a dream.

My third letterpress broadside from Wolfram Swets’ Tungsten Press in Hilversum, the Netherlands:

“Joseph Massey: HARBOR — a two-color poecard printed in the Romanée and the Folio on Zerkall paper, December 2012 / May 2013 — Edition of a hundred copies.”

Most people think I was immaculately hatched from a sandwich roll, but I actually have a mother. I’d like to thank her for participating in my conception at a Styx concert, otherwise I surely would not be here right now.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the glorious mommies in my life.
